Illiteracy has emerged as a primary threat to sustaining a strong, thriving economy in North Texas. The NTFF recognizes the critical need in North Texas for cohesiveness in a regional literacy program in order to affect significant change toward a literate population, and more importantly, a qualified, literate workforce. Toward this end, the NTFF is committed to providing necessary resources to existing literacy providers and equipping new providers with support and resources to maintain successful literacy instruction programs. The NTFF seeks to increase literacy instruction capacity by identifying new and existing providers and equipping them with trained volunteers to teach literacy, access to quality literacy curriculum, facilities, developing workplace programs, leadership, and support.
