March 7, 2017:
Working Families Success Grant Workshop
CFT is seeking organizations that are interested in piloting a new way of delivering services to help low income families increase their earnings and income, reduce their financial transaction costs, and generate new wealth for themselves and their communities. The model, called Integrated Service Delivery or the Working Families Success model, was developed by the Annie E. Casey Foundation in the early 2000s. It has been prototyped in over 40 communities across the U.S., and provides individual clients and families with services across three critical and interconnected areas:
- Employment placement, job retention and skill improvement
- Financial coaching and counseling, and
- Accessing income supports and asset building

2017 Working Families Success Grant Workshop:
If selected as a grant recipient, agencies will be assisted through a multi-year grant to provide family-friendly services in an integrated or “bundled” approach, focusing on increasing economic well-being. To learn more about Working Families Success, please visit http://www.cftexas.org/working-families-success.
Monies will be available to nonprofits willing to provide employment services, income supports, and financial and asset building services, whether as a single agency or in tight collaboration with others. Grant recipients will be provided with significant program guidance, training and technical assistance to support their agency’s adoption of this integrated service delivery model. Finalists will be included in a 2017 learning group designed to build a shared knowledge and support base within the nonprofit community about best practice delivery. Learning and training opportunities will be available for personnel at all levels of the organization, including leadership and program personnel.
Accepted agencies will be asked to make a minimum three (3) year commitment to:
- adherence to the Working Families Success model (bundling core services, either through existing services and/or through community partnerships)
- collect and report on a base set of common outcomes and metrics
- participate in a learning group
- participate in training and skill building programs
