As deputy director of higher education policy for Educate Texas, Danielle identifies and advocates for innovative higher education and workforce policy solutions at the federal, state and institutional levels. She is also the staff lead for the Texas Student Success Council, which brings together diverse stakeholders to advance and advocate for policies that promote increased postsecondary student success in the 21st-century economy.

Prior to joining CFT, Danielle was on the postsecondary team at HCM Strategists, a public policy consulting firm, where her work focused on issues including postsecondary finance, transfer policy research, and implementing strategic plans. Prior to that, she worked for Rep. Mary González and Sen. Royce West in the Texas Legislature.

Danielle holds a bachelor’s in philosophy from Texas Tech University and a master’s in educational leadership and policy from the University of Texas at Austin.
