As the deputy director of programs for Work Based Learning, Winston is part of the College Career Ready School Model (CCRSM) team in Educate Texas. Winston facilitates school district professional development around Work Based Learning, supports college and career readiness strategies and plays a supporting role in identifying and promoting key insights that accelerate student successes.

Prior to joining CFT, Winston spent a dozen years as the executive director of career and technical education at Grand Prairie ISD. He oversaw the day-to-day district operations for the career tech programs, events and staff.

Winston holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Lamar University and a master’s in education technology leadership from Texas A&M Commerce.
