Ernesto Farias

As the strategic operations manager, reporting to the executive director, Ernesto collaborates with leaders of the executive team and program directors to enhance operations and systems, lead and execute projects, and facilitate collaboration across teams at Educate Texas in service of improving outcomes for all Texas students.

Prior to joining CFT, Ernesto worked for a decade in the education field. He was a project manager consultant at OnYourMark Education, and he taught eighth grade social studies at IDEA Public Schools, where he also led content-focused training sessions for teachers across the network. Ernesto’s higher education experience includes working on the Teacher Preparation Partnerships team at Relay Graduate School of Education and working with first-generation college-going students as part of the Student Success team at the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley.

Ernesto holds a bachelor’s in political science and Mexican American studies from the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and an MBA in strategic management from the University of North Texas. He is also certified as a project management professional (PMP).
