Michelle works on CFT’s Educate Texas programs team, coordinating the development of systems and tools to support the implementation of innovative school and district models in our College and Career Readiness schools portfolio.
Prior to joining CFT in 2017, Michelle was an independent researcher/writer for education issues. Her work focused on collecting, synthesizing and presenting data to support public school systems, organizations and foundations in strategic planning and program implementation. She’s done research, writing, program development and consulting for organizations including Achieve, the Broad Center for the Management of School Systems, the Center for Education Policy Research at Harvard University/Strategic Data Project, the Southern Regional Educational Board and Grantmakers for Education.
She also has worked on the design, implementation, and evaluation of of a national school board training program.
Michelle holds a bachelor’s in geology and political science from Texas Christian University and master’s in public affairs from the University of Texas at Austin LBJ School of Public Affairs.
