Art House Dallas
Art House Dallas works to cultivate creativity for the common good through programs, curated events, community partnerships, and artist care—inspiring everyone to live more imaginative, meaningful lives. Funds are requested for their bi-monthly gathering which fosters creative community and collaboration; their new leadership initiative consisting of a six-part series focused on empowering exceptional creatives in art mentoring and leadership; and their monthly writer's programming.

Artes de la Rosa Cultural center for the Arts
Artes de la Rosa promotes and interprets the art, culture, lives, and history of the Latino community by offering educational art/culture programs, providing opportunities and support for Latinx artists. Funding will support the Artes Academy after-school arts instruction program, which offers low cost classes in art, dance and theater arts for low-income students. Specific funding needs include technology upgrades, art supplies and end of semester theater production expenses.

Astraios Chamber Music
Now in their 10th season, Astraios produces world-class chamber music built around innovative and engaging audience interaction. Funds are requested to help Astraios serve three additional Frisco ISD elementary schools through their residency program. Funding is also requested for the continued production of their evening concert series, which will help to strengthen the professional arts offerings in the city of Frisco.

Balanced Almond, Inc d.b.a. Ochre House Theater
Ochre House Theater is a professional theater that strives to produce high quality, original theatre productions using minimal resources to their maximum potential. They are committed to producing innovative plays and performing arts projects that carry a message of artistic and spiritual revival to the community. Funds requested are for a flamenco collaboration with The Dallas FLAME Foundation, the employment of a lyricist for musical productions, and upgrades to their facility.

Bruce Wood Dance Co, Inc | Bruce Wood Dance
Bruce Wood Dance presents high-caliber, original, contemporary choreography that provides entertainment, enrichment, and healing to 15,800 people annually. Funds are requested to support 1) producing Bruce Wood’s acclaimed pieces and commissioning innovative new works 2) sustaining dance careers for dancers in Dallas, 3) providing classes, tickets, and transportation to performances at no cost to under-resourced communities such as International Rescue Committee and Nexus Recovery Center.

Through buildingcommunityWORKSHOP's affordable housing design and community planning initiatives, residents build knowledge and capacity to self-advocate and drive the decisions that affect their communities. buildingcommunityWORKSHOP's work results in solutions that create healthy, vibrant places in partnership with empowered residents. Funds are requested to support ongoing efforts in Dallas.

Cara Mía Theatre Co.
Founded in 1996, Cara Mía Theatre Co. is a non-profit theatre company that presents live accessible theatre by producing critically acclaimed published plays and creating new and experimental works while developing innovative and educational youth arts programming reflective of the Latino experience in the U.S. Funds are requested to support programming for Cara Mía's theatrical productions, free fine arts education for at-risk youth in communities of color, and free community outreach events.

Chamberlain Ballet DBA Chamberlain Performing Arts
Chamberlain Performing Arts is committed to presenting world-class ballet to enrich the North Texas community, enlighten with arts education, and encourage through outreach programs. Funds are requested for: 1) new or gently used office furniture for their new office space; 2) funding for sets/props for their annual performance of The Nutcracker (Christmas Tree, Mother Ginger, Clara's Sleigh, and Throne); and 3) scholarships for their Shining Stars dance program for special needs children and young adults

Circle Theatre
The mission of Circle Theatre is to present contemporary plays rarely seen in North Texas. Located in Fort Worth’s Sundance Square, the Theatre stages innovative productions in an intimate 125-seat theatre setting. Annually 8,000 patrons are served. Funding is requested to support operating and production expenses. Additionally, funding is requested to support the High School Playwriting Project which ends with a public presentation by experienced actors reading scripts by local students.

Dallas Bach Society
The mission of the Dallas Bach Society is to promote public education, awareness, and understanding of Baroque music especially the works of Johann Sebastian Bach. Funding is requested to support education programs and outreach concerts. Funding is also requested to cover performance expenses associated with the organization's seven-concert season, including rehearsal and performance space, artist fees, three outreach concerts and marketing costs.

Dallas Black Dance Theatre
As Dallas’ oldest and largest professional dance company, Dallas Black Dance Theatre bridges cultures and engages the community through captivating performances, inclusive education/outreach programs, and expert dance training. Its five performing companies annually serve 100,000 worldwide. Funding will help maintain low Academy rates through subsidized tuition, provide a new phone system for its historic building, or enable dancers to further their professional development at an international dance conference.

Dallas Museum of Art
With an encyclopedic collection of more than 24,000 objects, the Dallas Museum of Art is a place of wonder and discovery where art comes alive. Funds are requested for 'Berthe Morisot: Woman Impressionist', an exhibition dedicated to the only 19th-century female Impressionist; Go van Gogh, a free outreach program that provides K-12 classroom arts experiences; and an English-Spanish bilingual initiative to increase the DMA’s accessibility to the second largest segment of the city’s population.

Fine Arts Chamber Players
Fine Arts Chamber Players' mission is to enhance and enrich the quality of life for North Texas area residents, especially families and children, through free concerts of classical music and educational activities. Each year, Fine Arts Chamber Players presents more than a dozen free concerts and serves nearly 1,500 unique students. Funds are requested for free music lessons for Dallas public school students, support for free community concerts, and student instrument repairs and maintenance.

Flower Mound High School Band Boosters
Flower Mound High School has consistently distinguished itself as one of the country's elite high school music programs. Last fall, at the BOA Grand National Marching Championship, Flower Mound was chosen from 100 bands to march in the 2019 Tournament of Roses Parade in Pasadena. Funds are requested to help fulfill the over $500,000 required to participate in the parade.

Fort Worth Opera
At Fort Worth Opera, their mission is to educate, entertain, and expand the horizons of current and future audiences and artists through variety and artistic integrity. Funding is requested to support the 2019 Fort Worth Opera Festival which includes multiple productions in April and May; the Education Through Opera program; and Noches de Opera, a programmatic commitment to producing works by Latino artists along with events that foster inclusion among the Hispanic community in Fort Worth.

Greater Denton Arts Council (GDAC)
The Greater Denton Arts Council (GDAC) serves the Denton community through educational programs, nationally renowned exhibitions, and cultural events for audiences of all ages. Each year, over 550,000 people attend GDAC-sponsored events. For 50 years, they have provided support for local artists and art-centric organizations. Their facility, the Patterson-Appleton Arts Center, hosts a plethora of after-school arts and summer camp programs for children, family workshops, and weekly evening programs.

Greater Lewisville Community Theatre
Founded in 1983, Greater Lewisville Community Theatre's mission is to stimulate and promote education in the theater and to perform arts by providing the highest quality of productions possible. Funding requested will help support operating and production costs for the 2018-2019 season, which will include three musicals and three plays.

Heritage Guild of Collin County/Chestnut Square Historic Village
HGCC/Chestnut Square Historic Village (2-acre museum campus) boasts the oldest house in McKinney and 7 other historic buildings. Their mission is to preserve history, celebrate community and inspire the future. Funds are requested for two structures that need significant siding replacement and paint. Additionally, funds are requested for highly visible signage. Finally, funds are requested for new furniture for the corporate meeting center, a 100-year-old house that just underwent a $250,000 renovation.

Irving Black Arts Council
The Irving Black Arts Council promotes and encourages cultural enrichment for individuals and families. Their focus is to create and support diverse and vibrant African American art and artists. Activities include art and musical shows, poetry readings, theatrical productions, literary scholarship contests, lectures, seminars and youth programs. Membership is open to all individuals, organizations, and businesses. Funds are requested to support their upcoming season programming and a student intern.

Junior Players
Junior Players encourages intellectual growth, mental well-being and the development of life skills in North Texas youth through mentoring, creative expression and participating in drama and arts activities. Funds are requested for: 1) Discover Theater Summer Camps that teach low-to-moderate income children about theater and performing arts while improving literacy skills; and 2) the Transformation Project which provides a safe environment and creative outlet for students to share challenging issues they face.

KERA carries the best in local, national and international public television and radio programs that speak to those who value knowing about regional and world topics through trusted, in-depth reporting and discussion. Funds are requested to support: 1) their news project focused on issues of race and equity in North Texas, 2) children’s educational television programming serving 600,000 kids weekly and 3) their multi-platform journalism initiative exploring the subject of mental health and brain science.

Kids Who Care
Kids Who Care produces creative and confident kids through arts, leadership, and global caring. With theatre camps and classes, an Entrepreneurial Leadership Institute and a season of musical productions, they produce the next generation of creative thinkers who will enrich communities locally and around the world. Funding will support scholarships for camp or class and leadership training for their summer KidPower Team. Last year they provided 126 scholarships valued at $66,607.

Kitchen Dog Theater Company
For 27 years, Kitchen Dog has produced work that explores justice, morality, and human freedom. KDT maintains a company of 40 artists, providing an artistic home for some of Dallas' best talent. The company’s long commitment to new work has earned it a national reputation as a leader in the field. Funds are requested to support: 1) Admit:ALL, their free ticketing program for those with need; 2) increased reach of their in-school playwriting workshops; and 3) staffing for community engagement.

Lewisville Civic Chorale
Celebrating its 20th anniversary, the Lewisville Civic Chorale seeks to propel the region’s arts community through participation in and exposure to high quality, diverse choral music. With a goal of expanding their geographic impact, operational funding is a top priority. Funding is also requested to support a program serving under-resourced middle school choral programs. Finally, support is needed to transport their performances to top tier venues throughout North Texas.

Museum of Biblical Art
The Museum of Biblical Art's mission is to exhibit and display Biblically themed art and artifacts while sharing their historical, educational, and cultural relevance with the public. Primarily Jewish and Christian themed, they provide 14 galleries exhibiting oil paintings, sculpture, drawings, rare manuscripts, and artifacts. They serve over 60,000 world-wide visitors annually.

Nasher Sculpture Center
The Nasher Sculpture Center is home to a collection of modern and contemporary sculptures and advances the understanding of this vital art form. Funds are requested for: 1) free museum tours for K-12 students; 2) accessibility programs that address the needs and abilities of all museum visitors; and 3) the 2019 Nasher Prize Month, which will feature public events, family activities, student workshops, and more.

New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving
New Philharmonic Orchestra of Irving introduces families to symphony music. They work with Irving schools through "First Tickets," a program that enables middle school students to attend a working rehearsal and bring families to a concert on a free family pass, and also features high school students performing side-by-side. Audiences from the larger DFW area enjoy "Sundays at the Symphony" and "Latino Connections!" concerts. Funds are requested to bring annual "Latino Connections!" concerts to Dallas and for a new regional mariachi festival.

New Texas Symphony Orchestra
New Texas Symphony Orchestra is an all-volunteer, non-profit arts group in Dallas, with goals to perform dynamic symphonic music that inspires and educates local communities while nurturing participant musicianship. North Texas Symphony Orchestra is committed to sharing the joy of making music as adults to a broad audience, especially youth. Funds are requested to expand outreach to students in underserved areas, explore new marketing/exchange paths for those in need of connection, and expand bonds with other organizations.

Orpheus Chamber Singers
The Orpheus Chamber Singers (OCS) enrich, inspire, and educate through exceptional performances of choral music from the past six centuries. OCS seeks to assemble the best professional adult mixed choir in DFW to broaden and transform the cultural climate of Texas by presenting live performances, community events, and educational activities. Funds are requested to expand their outreach programs, including educational concerts with local schools and performances at local hospitals/rehab facilities.

Pegasus Theatre
Pegasus Theatre’s mission is to produce new and original comedies in a professional setting, highlighting the talents of North Texas theatre artists. The theatre’s signature work is an annual “Living Black & White™” production, made to look like a black-and-white film come to life on stage. Pegasus Theatre actively supports the community at large through joint fundraisers and talks for area theatre students. The theatre has won numerous awards, including recognition from the Today Show in 2018.

Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW)
Performing Arts Fort Worth (PAFW) advances the mission of the Nancy Lee and Perry R. Bass Performance Hall. A cornerstone of PAFW’s mission, to promulgate arts education, is fulfilled through its Children’s Education Program, which has no cost to students in grades 1-12 from all economic and social backgrounds. Funding will support the presentation of curriculum related Student Performances for 70,000 students annually, enriching their arts education and inspiring arts appreciation.

Repertory Company Theatre (RCT)
Audio Visual Technology is the future of live theatre Help Repertory Company Theatre (RCT) light the way. RCT is requesting funds to purchase state of the art, audio visual and lighting equipment for their new 165-seat theatre theatre, which they moved into in October 2017. The new space allows them to expand their current School of Musical Theatre (400 students, year-round workshops, and classes for ages 7-18) as well as their Main Stage Shows (Season of 9 shows, 9,000 patrons per season).

Sammons Center for the Arts
Founded in 1981, Sammons Center is like a greenhouse to grow small to mid-sized performing arts organizations by providing low-cost office, rehearsal, performance, and meeting space, as well as administrative resources. Sammons Center is home to 14 arts groups and serves another 80 with rehearsal, audition and performance space. Funding is requested for: 1) a built-in sound system for performances for user groups at $20,000; 2)“Art-Works”, a professional development program for arts professionals at $10,000; and 3) Arts-Business Internship Program at $10,000.

Second Thought Theatre
Second Thought Theatre (STT) provides an intimate and unique theatrical experience by empowering top local theater artists to take risks and by showcasing writers who boldly tackle the difficult and demanding questions of our rapidly changing world. Funding will support: 1) increased compensation to artists, crew, and staff; 2) expanded access through additional pay-what-you-can and educational tickets; and 3) a multi-year commitment to commission and produce new works from local playwrights.

Texas Ballet Theater
Texas Ballet Theater (TBT) embarks on its 57th Season bringing classical story ballets and cutting-edge new works to North Texas audiences at Winspear Opera House and Bass Performance Hall. Texas Ballet Theater provides Student Performances to 38,000 young people who witness live professional dance while the CityDance outreach program brings free after-school dance lessons to underserved elementary aged students at forty-six locations. The TBT School educates 500 students at campuses located in Dallas and Fort Worth.

The Cliburn
The Cliburn promotes classical piano music around the world through international competitions, concert series, and education and outreach programs. In 2019, the organization will present the Second Cliburn International Junior Piano Competition and Festival in Dallas at SMU and the Meyerson. Funds are requested for the Junior Competition, the annual Cliburn Concerts series, and Dallas ISD presentations of the Cliburn in the Classroom educational program.

The Dallas Opera
The Dallas Opera produces mainstage and chamber operas, attracts national and international attention, and is committed to extensive community outreach and education. Funds are requested for: 1) educational programs including student matinee performances which bring 6,000 children to the Winspear Opera House; 2) Kids Opera Boot Camp, a summer program that teaches every part of the creation of an opera; and 3) Opera in a Suitcase which brings opera to 4,200 students in afterschool programs.

The Women's Chorus of Dallas
The Women's Chorus of Dallas, established in 1989, is an all women's choir. Funding is requested to assist with transportation costs related to community agency clients at concerts, underwriting performance and production costs, and IT expertise. They expect to increase their reach to women and audiences who do not have easy access to the arts (transportation, production costs, and IT innovations).

The Writer's Garret
The Writer's Garret provides opportunities and support to North Texans through literary, educational and creative language-focused programming. Funds are requested to support the Write to Heal program, utilizing expressive writing in healing and recovery for both psychological and physical trauma; affordable workshops for local writers, including instructor compensation and participant scholarships; and after-school programming for at-risk youth and underserved populations.

TITAS Presents
TITAS Presents entertains, educates, and inspires by curating and commissioning extraordinary dance and performance art from around the world. Funds are requested to expand TITAS' CROSSROADS program that maximizes visiting artist/community contact through education and engagement activities including workshops, pre- and post-show discussions, lectures/demonstrations, exclusive movies, master classes for high-risk students, internships, open-to-everyone outdoor dance classes, and cultural collaborations.

Undermain Theatre
Undermain Theatre inspires, educates and challenges an increasingly diverse audience through innovative works. Funds will commission a new American adaptation of an Ibsen play for its multi-year Classic Series, allowing audiences and artists to engage with an adaptation written specifically for American audiences. Funds are requested for an LED lighting system to provide energy and cost savings and for educational outreach to students. The theatre attracted 30% first-time patrons this season.

Uptown Players
Uptown Players presents professional theatre that meets a rising demand for audiences to see their life experiences represented on stage. Uptown Players presents plays and musicals that challenge audiences artistically, strengthen cultural bridges with the LGBT community, and create greater positive public awareness and acceptance through the performing arts. Funds are requested to upgrade sound equipment to meet new FCC rules, generate operating funds for their 18-19 season and increase offsite storage space.
