Collin County Assessment

In an effort to support nonprofits and community leaders with actionable data, CFT released the 2020 Collin County Economic Opportunity Assessment in October 2020. We are proud to have partnered with JPMorgan Chase in the presentation of this assessment, conducted by Every Texan, for Collin County. While it’s too early to see the full impact of the pandemic on Collin County, the report provides some early economic indicators of how residents are faring in terms of employment, affected job sectors, and health insurance coverage. We believe it can be used to outline both the strengths and challenges for Collin County communities as they move forward in this new environment.

2022 Nonprofit Success Institute

As Collin County grows, so do its challenges with issues such as homelessness, hunger and affordable housing. To help nonprofits address pressing needs for Collin County residents, CFT and the United Way of Metropolitan Dallas joined forces to create the Collin County Nonprofit Success Institute, an educational cohort supporting nonprofits that primarily serve low-income families and individuals. The goal of this opportunity is to expand the network of local leaders and support the development of strategies to advance equity for families in Collin County that face disparities in education, income, and health.

This educational program offers concepts for CEOs, program staff, fundraising staff, marketing/branding staff, and HR staff. Classes will be taught by experts who understand the challenges and barriers faced by nonprofits in Collin County, and how to transform and elevate the organization.

Collin County Impact Fund

Communities Foundation of Texas established the Collin County Impact Fund with an initial gift of $500,000 to build dedicated support for nonprofits serving this growing community. Grants from this fund will provide support for nonprofit organizations addressing the most pressing needs and promising opportunities for the communities of Collin County.

To maintain the vitality of Collin County’s growing communities, CFT is looking for committed, community-minded, forward-thinking individuals and businesses to join us in growing the Collin County Impact Fund! Building this fund will help ensure there will always be dedicated charitable resources to provide support and funding for our most vulnerable citizens for generations to come.
