Denton County Master Gardner Association (DCMGA)
The DCMGA provides horticultural information and training to Denton County citizens on a volunteer basis. DCMGA programming includes Junior Master Gardener (JMG) learning experiences for youth facilitated by JMG Specialists, public gardening classes through libraries and city events, and horticultural scholarships for college students. Funding is requested to support each of these above programs to: 1) train 50 additional JMG Specialists, 2) expand public classes to an additional venue, and 3) provide a fourth scholarship this year. Impact is measured via attendance at programming events and feedback surveys.

For the Love of the Lake Foundation
For the Love of the Lake (FTLOTL) supports White Rock Lake via preservation and beautification projects and programs. Funding is requested to support building an "All- Abilities" playground, the Adopt-A-Shoreline project, and reforestation through the Celebration Tree Grove program. Adopt-A-Shoreline is a weekly lake clean-up that is most heavily promoted and attended on the second Saturday of each month; Celebration Tree Grove allows donors to purchase memoriam plaques that honor loved ones and fund planting new trees. The Tree Grove project has funding planting 150+ trees in the park; 53 groups regularly participate in the shoreline clean-up.

Fossil Rim Wildlife Center
Fossil Rim converses species in peril and produces public learning experiences to inspire positive change on environmental impact. Funds are requested for the Animal Waste Composting initiative and the Attwater Prairie Chicken Recovery Program. Animal Waste Composting utilizes the animal waste from the stabled animals at Fossil Rim to environmentally supplement fertilizer needs across the preserve. The Attwater Prairie Chicken Recovery Program repopulates the endangered species through captive breeding and wild release. The Recovery Program has tripled the wild population on Attwater Chickens. Implementing the Animal Waste program will save $10,000 per year.

Friends of the Katy Trail
Friends of the Katy Trail oversees management of and supports the Katy Trail. Funds are requested for general operations, part-time staff to assist with membership and special events, and for capital investment in water fountains, dog waste stations, and trash receptacles. The Katy Trail has catalyzed development and provides a green ribbon in the middle of urban Dallas; the trail has supported the increase of surrounding property values by up to 25%.

Lee Park & Arlington Hall Conservancy
Lee Park & Arlington Hall Conservancy converses and preserves their eponymous public properties. Funding is requested to support a Freedman's Loop History walk to educate citizens on racial history in Dallas, enhance safety at the Turtle Creek Spillway by purchasing and installing a rail along the spillway, and reforesting the area served by the Conservancy.

Parks and Wildlife Foundation of Texas
The Texas Parks and Wildlife Foundation (TPWF) provides private support to the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department. TPWF seeks to support the North Texas divisions of the TPWD which serve 7 million NT residents. The TPWD engages in search and rescue missions, provides conservation enforcement, and educates North Texans in fishing, hunting, and boating.

Retreet
Retreet's mission is to address disaster relief by engaging communities to replant lost trees. It seeks funding for the Rowlett Retreet II program which aims to plant 200 trees in the community. Retreet engages local volunteers to participate in their program. To date, they have held 20 Retreet events across North America to plant 4,892 trees.

River Legacy Foundation
River Legacy Foundation's mission is to preserve and enhance the land along the Trinity River and its tributaries. The Foundation seeks funding for an Environmental Education program projected to serve 14,700 urban school children. They are also requesting funding for a technology update for office equipment and for Phase II of their capital campaign to transform the Living Science Center.

Texas State University
Texas State University's Texas Stream Team (TST) supports environmental education, citizen science, and the environmental protection of Texas' water resources. TST seeks funding to address a funding gap created by decreased state and federal funding for water resources. TST wants to host educational conferences to inform Texans about water quality monitoring.

Texas Trees Foundation
Texas Trees Foundation's mission is to preserve, beautify and expand parks, streets and other public natural green spaces by planting trees and offering educational programs. Funding is requested to complete 2 Cool Schools, a program which seeks to increase the tree canopy to 20%. Additional funding is requested to fund a NeighborWoods project to plant 100 trees in underserved communities. Texas Trees also requests funding for their Urban Streetscape program to create a livable Southwestern Medical District that emphasizes healthy people and a healthy environment.
