CFT fund holders support CFT's North Texas Winter Weather Crisis Relief Fund


Margaret Elizabeth and Michael McKissack established the McKissack Family Fund in December 2020. They had been giving to nonprofits directly and through CFT’s North Texas Giving Day for quite some time, and their new charitable fund at CFT allows them to streamline their giving and lean on CFT’s staff expertise when needed.

Eric and Jeannie Nadel established their donor-advised fund, the Eric and Jeannie Nadel Charitable Fund, in April 2020. They have also included CFT and their fund in their estate plans.

North Texas Giving Day Proclamation


On September 23, 2021, donations can be made from 6 a.m. to midnight to more than 3,200 certified local nonprofits in the 20 county region around DFW listed on www.NorthTexasGivingDay.org; And, from September 1-22, early donations can be made on the website in advance of Giving Day; I would like to thank CFT for powering this incredible day, and I encourage all Dallas residents to take part in this special event and support our local nonprofits by giving to them on North Texas Giving Day.

The season of giving is here! Communities Foundation of Texas’ NTX Giving Day is on September 23, and to prepare, team members from CFT and Amazon presented dozens of nonprofits with gift baskets to launch their fundraising campaign. Each gift basket was specially curated for each organization based on their needs.

Caruth, Jr. Fund is CFT's largest endowment gifted to CFT through the estate plans of the late William Walter Caruth, Jr. to advance innovative and evidence-based solutions to significant community challenges in the areas of education, public safety, health, and medical and scientific research.

The Ashish & Mona Khanna Family Charitable Gift Fund at CFT


Giving has always been a priority for Ashish and Mona Khanna. After moving from Chicago to North Texas in 2015, they knew that finding ways to invest in their local community would be key to achieving their philanthropic goals. In 2018, Ashish met CFT staff at a Chartered Advisor in Philanthropy® (CAP®) event, and the Khannas established the Ashish & Mona Khanna Family Charitable Gift Fund, a donor-advised fund at CFT, later that year.
