★ Celebrated Alfreda Norman for her commitment to our community as the new Chair of our Board of Trustees and welcomed Arcilia Acosta, Greg Campbell, and Rob Walters as new board members
February
★ Celebrated a new impact milestone: $2 billion in grantmaking since our inception
★ Distributed $1.5 million from our 2020 Census Pooled Fund to support Census participation across the state
★ Partnered with 12 other funders to create the 19th Amendment Centennial Fund, providing $320,000 in grants to recognize the 100th anniversary of women's right to vote
March
★ Launched new COVID-19 relief funds: CFT's North Texas Community Response Fund, the Get Shift Done for North Texas Fund, the Dallas County COVID-19 Response Fund, and the Dallas Morning News Charities COVID-19 Response Fund
★ Partnered with 30+ funders to launch North Texas Cares, streamlining the grant application process for nonprofits seeking emergency funding
April
★ Collectively awarded 1,400 grants to 630 area nonprofits totaling over $40 million between April and July from the 30+ funders participating in North Texas Cares
★ Launched our new Philanthropy 360 podcast to highlight community needs and opportunities; Hosted educational webinars for nonprofits in need of COVID-19 related support
★ Launched the Serve Our Heroes Fund, a new COVID-19 relief fund created in partnership with Hockaday students

★ Partnered with the Dallas Cowboys and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to host a virtual emergency day of giving, North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, which generated $21 million for thousands of nonprofits in need
★ Deployed a $1 million donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas to aid COVID-19 relief efforts across Texas
★ Launched the Revive Dallas Small Business Relief Fund in partnership with the DEC Network and LiftFund to provide forgivable 0% interest loans to minority- and women-owned small businesses
★ Partnered with DCEO to uplift nonprofit and corporate excellence with our third annual Nonprofit and Corporate Citizenship Awards
★ Converted CFT’s annual Professional Seminar for 200+ attorneys, CPAs and wealth advisors to a virtual event featuring 5 presenters in different cities
June
★ Launched the Get Shift Done for America Fund to support Shiftsmart and the Get Shift Done team in their efforts to expand nationally to provide income to hospitality workers and meals to the food insecure in 11 cities
★ Celebrated our 2019-20 cohort of Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy as they concluded their 10-month program and awarded $50,000 in grants
★ Explored the learnings and ideas generated from a year-long collaborative partnership with the City of Dallas on a new Food Equity Innovation Challenge to engage nonprofits and community members in addressing our region’s food deserts

★ Worked with partners across the state through CFT's Educate Texas to expand broadband access for students
★ Launched the Emma Lazarus Resilience Fund in partnership with the City of Dallas and Open Society Foundations to support nonprofits providing financial assistance to community members ineligible for federal COVID-19 relief programs
★ Launched Season Two of our Philanthropy 360 podcast, featuring candid conversations with African American nonprofit leaders
★ Partnered with AFP Greater Dallas to offer scholarships to African American fundraising professionals

★ Collaborated with 35 funders to launch a second phase North Texas Cares application
★ Partnered with United Way of Metropolitan Dallas and Trusted World to bring free personal protective equipment to nonprofits
★ Welcomed 14 new members to CFT’s Advisory Council

★ Raised a record-breaking $59 million for 3,000+ nonprofits in need through North Texas Giving Day, with givers pledging 600,000+ volunteer hours in addition to their contributions
★ Held our 19th annual Freedom Day on September 11 in partnership with our CFT for Business members and their employees and families, centered around the theme of Equity and Justice for All and featuring new virtual components
★ Hosted our first all-virtual Cause-Minded Conversation on the topic of "Leading While Black" featuring conversations with Black nonprofit leaders
★ Launched the Texas Learning Exchange at txlx.org to help equip educators with guidelines and support for safe, effective teaching through CFT's Educate Texas, in partnership with Getting Smart and Altitude Learning
★ Launched our third annual 2020-21 Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy cohort with 85 young leaders
October
★ Began to review an additional $100 million in funding requests from nonprofits alongside 35+ participating funders through North Texas Cares
★ Celebrated the success of our partners at Get Shift Done, which grew from an idea the founders had during a weekend in March to supporting 22,000 workers at 110 nonprofits in 11 cities, providing 50 million meals
★ Released our new Collin County Economic Opportunity Assessment in partnership with JPMorgan Chase and Every Texan to highlight needs and opportunities in Collin County
★ Celebrated the new graduates of our Dallas Economic Opportunity Leadership Academy in partnership with the Aspen Institute, JPMorgan Chase, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas as they completed their year-long journey and presented their final projects
November
★ Expressed gratitude for our donor-advised fund holders at CFT, who granted more than $41 million to nonprofits between March and October, an 80% increase over the same period last year
★ Launched a new program, Be In Good Company, through CFT for Business to grow and inspire corporate citizenship
★ Debuted our updated 360 ° approach to grantmaking at CFT
★ Partnered with The Dallas Foundation and Lyda Hill Philanthropies to launch a new capacity-building opportunity for nonprofits

★ Awarded grants to 200 nonprofits from CFT’s North Texas Community Response Fund between March and December to address COVID-19 related needs identified through North Texas Cares
★ Awarded $5.3 million in grants from CFT's W.W. Caruth, Jr. Fund across our priority areas of health, wealth, living, and learning with a focus on education, health, and public safety
