New Fund at CFT to Revive Small Businesses

The DEC Network Partners with Dallas Regional Chamber, Dallas Citizens Council in collaboration with CFT to Aid Small Businesses


The DEC Network (formerly the Dallas Entrepreneur Center), in collaboration with the Communities Foundation of Texas and LiftFund, is announcing the Revive Dallas Small Business Relief Fund, a $5 million relief loan fund to support primarily minority and women-owned small businesses and entrepreneurs during the COVID-19 crisis. To date, more than $1 million has already been committed to the fund.

CFT's Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy Cohort Graduates, Awards $50,000 to Local Nonprofits

$50,000 in grants will benefit three nonprofits: Southern Dallas Link, Miles of Freedom, and At Last


CFT and our second cohort of young philanthropists, Emerging Leaders in Philanthropy (ELP), are thrilled to announce that $50,000 in grant funding will go to support three local nonprofits: Southern Dallas Link ($35,000), Miles of Freedom ($10,000), and At Last! ($5,000). 65 young leaders graduated from the second cohort in May 2020 after completing their nine-month journey in the program.

Every 10 years, following constitutional mandate, our government conducts a count of every person living in our country. From that data, decisions are made that impact every facet of our daily life: our state’s representation in Congress, our region’s representation in Austin, and federal money for public education, healthcare, community services, and infrastructure in Texas. The census also undergirds the demographic data that companies use to identify potential investments for growth and expansion

One Generous Company, $1 Million Dollars of Impact

CFT receives $1 million donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas to aid COVID-19 Relief Efforts across Texas


In response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in support of Texas community foundations and nonprofits, CFT announced a $1 million donation from Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Texas (BCBSTX) to help with COVID-19 relief efforts through their newly created Collaborative Grant Fund. The donation will support nonprofits statewide providing critical services such as: personal protective equipment (PPE) for first responders, childcare for first responders and healthcare professionals, and services for senior adults, including meal and grocery delivery.

North Texas Giving Tuesday Now

CFT, Dallas Cowboys, and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas come together to raise critical funds for COVID-19 relief and recovery now through May 5


CFT has partnered with the Dallas Cowboys and United Way of Metropolitan Dallas to create a special emergency response day of giving called North Texas Giving Tuesday Now, as a regional activation of the global Giving Tuesday movement, #GivingTuesdayNow.

DentaQuest Contributes $1M to COVID-19 Relief Efforts

Grants will support communities during the pandemic and throughout the recovery period


The DentaQuest Partnership for Oral Health Advancement today announced a set of grants totaling $1M to organizations supporting relief efforts for underserved populations and regions hit hardest by COVID-19, including communities that are experiencing disproportionate effects of the pandemic.

Dallas County COVID-19 Response Fund


Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins and Communities Foundation of Texas are proud to announce the creation of the Dallas County COVID-19 Response Fund. The Fund has been established to provide Dallas County frontline responders with the resources necessary to directly combat the spread of the virus SARS-CoV-2 which produces the novel coronavirus disease COVID-19.
