CFT WELCOMES BUTLER AND LOSINGER

Communities Foundation of Texas warmly welcomes its newest trustees, Richie Butler and Sarah Losinger. “Their experience and diverse backgrounds in community leadership make Richie and Sarah uniquely qualified to serve on a board that stewards more than $1 billion in assets across more than 900 charitable funds,” said Frank Risch, chairman of the board of CFT.

Richie Butler is the senior managing director of the Prescott Realty Group. Formerly, he was the deputy political director for U.S. Senator John Kerry of Massachusetts. In August of 2014, he successfully merged Union Cathedral, an independent interdenominational church, with the historic St. Paul United Methodist Church in downtown Dallas, where he serves as the senior pastor of the combined congregation.

Butler holds degrees from Southern Methodist University and Harvard University, as well as extended studies in Urban Planning at MIT, and was the recipient of a Ford Foundation Fellowship to study Art History and Political Science in Europe.

Butler and his wife, Neisha Strambler-Butler, have two children.


Sarah LosingerSARAH LOSINGER

Active community volunteer Sarah Losinger chairs the McCune Charitable Foundation. She currently serves on the board of The Bridge, City of Dallas Municipal Library, AT&T Performing Arts Center, Letot Capital Foundation and William Woods University. She’s a member of Crystal Charity Ball, a Leadership Texas 2007 graduate and has been a presenter to DISD’s anti-victimization program, WHO, for 25 years.

She holds a BS in Special Education from the University of Oklahoma. She is married to Alan Losinger, and they have two children.
