FRESH ON THE HEELS of Dallas’ big year of newbeginnings, Communities Foundation of Texas announces its slate of 60th anniversary celebrations. These events will take a deeper look at Dallas’ past pressing issues and how the city and its philanthropists tackled them while shining a light on contemporary civic issues and philanthropy’s answer. Most events are free, open to the public and themed around “giving back and looking forward.” A fall birthday party will be held in conjunction with North Texas Giving Day on September 19 and a celebration for fund holders will be in November.
