Each year, Communities Foundation of Texas vets hundreds of nonprofits and compiles an online Giving Guide of local charitable needs. Here are three nonprofits funded by CFT from this year’s guide:

Dallas 24 Hour Club provides safe transitional housing for men and women seeking recovery from alcoholism, addictions
and coexisting mental illnesses. Funds received contribute to
the purchase of a new facility that will allow the 24 Hour Club
to meet the demand of up to 300 residents per year.
Dallas Children’s Theater’s new program, Project Inclusion,
offers productions tailored to the needs of children with
developmental disabilities including autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy and other conditions. These special productions reduce loud noises, darkness, flashing lights and other overstimulating
sensory inputs that can be distressing to these children, while still
providing a rich cultural experience for them and their families.
McKinney Avenue Transit Authority (MATA) strives to
provide safe, clean, reliable and convenient public
transportation to a broader geographic area in downtown Dallas while maintaining the unique, historic ambiance and character of current service. Funds received support operations, trolley maintenance and enable MATA to continue to offer services for free.
