Quisitive Volunteers at Dallas Animal Services
QUISITIVE, A CFT BUSINESS-ADVISED FUND HOLDER and longtime partner, has been working with Communities Foundation of Texas to further their corporate engagement program. Each quarter, CFT helps Quisitive identify focus areas and nonprofit partners that will fit their volunteering and giving profiles. One of their recent volunteer events with Dallas Animal Services (DAS) was particularly meaningful for several Quisitive employees.
Prior to the volunteer event, Quisitive asked DAS if there was anything they could
donate. DAS requested dog agility courses, which will be used in their outdoor play area by the trainer on staff to help build confidence, overall demeanor and improve animal behavior. Quisitive also purchased four cedar dog houses for their Southern Dallas C.A.R.E. program, which provides education and resources to underserved areas addressing the critical need for accessible, affordable pet care. The dog houses that Quisitive donated and assembled will be provided to families that need them so that they can keep their beloved pets. “DAS takes in as many as 200 animals each day, so it’s fulfilling to know that we are helping make a small impact on these numbers,” said Quisitive’s Belinda McCoy.
