If you have trouble finding compelling grantmaking opportunities and meeting your private foundation’s annual 5% payout requirement, CFT can assist by accepting contributions. Because the private foundation’s contribution to CFT is a qualifying distribution, it counts toward the 5% payout. When you donate all or part of your 5% payout to a donor-advised fund, we can help you distribute the money with greater flexibility. Or you can donate to our Community Impact Fund, and the money will be distributed through our local grantmaking strategies.
