For five years, Bold Idea has been serving 3rd – 12th grade students in North Texas through hands-on learning and mentoring in computer science. They collaborate with schools, corporations, and community organizations to help students in 3rd to 12th grades obtain the technology skills and credentials they need to be successful in today’s workforce.

They’re looking for a Treasurer, so someone with finance/accounting skills would be really helpful. They could also use a board member with a marketing background to help advise Bold Idea on promotion. Lastly, most of their board members are first-timers, so it would be great to have someone that has previous board experience, although this is not a hard requirement.

Annual required board member contribution is $2,500. Board members are asked to attend board meetings, and participate in at least one committee (governance, finance, fundraising).
