Plano Youth Leadership (PYL) provides high school sophomores with diverse experiences that inspire lifelong leadership development and community involvement.
Since 1995, Plano Youth Leadership (PYL) has empowered nearly 800 local young people with the tools and confidence they need to make well-informed life choices and to position themselves as leaders in their communities. The program familiarizes students with current issues, community resources, opportunities, and other factors influencing the direction of their community. Students who complete the PYL program are prepared to make a positive impact on the quality of life in their community’s future. Sessions include fun, interactive monthly meetings on a wide variety of topics, such as team building, volunteer opportunities, and local government.

The board is seeking five new members to serve three-year terms beginning immediately following approval from the rest of the board. Plano Youth Leadership aims for a diverse board and invites people with all skills and experience levels to apply.
