Dallas Area Interfaith

Dallas Area Interfaith works to cross lines of race, gender, language and economic levels to create the common good. Funding will support three main programs that will commemorate and celebrate the 19th Amendment Centennial including, A Civics Academy that will teach the history of women's suffrage, the 19th Amendment and discuss the low voter participation rates in Dallas; Voter education, including candidate forums and sessions on how to vote. DAI works with the Dallas County Elections Department to host sessions in institutions on how to vote; and Get-Out-The-Vote efforts to encourage people to use their vote. Leaders will make announcements in institutions, make phone calls, organize neighborhood walks, and remind people to vote. They have 33 member institutions that have over 90,000 families.
