USA Film Festival

USA Film Festival is dedicated to the recognition and encouragement of excellence in the film and video arts. Funding will support the 36th Annual KidFilm Family Festival, which will commemorate the milestone through the screening of 5 short films. The program, Remarkable Women - Commemorating the 100th Anniversary of the Women's Right to Vote, will celebrate the stories of the women who fought for equal representation. The film list includes: Two Friends: Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass; I could do That! Esther Morris Gets the Vote; Who Says Women Can’t be Doctors?; Hidden Figures; and She Persisted. The program will also include the distribution of a free book to all in attendance – Miss Paul and The President: The Creative Campaign for Women’s Right to Vote. The Festival targets students and their families grades K-5, and will reach approximately 5,000 through a partnership with DISD.
