The W.W. Caruth, Jr. Fund aims to build thriving communities for all by supporting innovative organizations working in and across the fields of public safety, health and education.
Organizations that need support to investigate, accelerate, or replicate a social change initiative that serves the North Texas region are strongly encouraged to apply.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) was the first round of a two-stage grantmaking process. The RFP document W.W. Caruth, Jr. Fund Request for Proposals describes the opportunity in full. In this round, we invite short proposals for initiatives that address an important problem in the region by:
- Improving systems coordination through partnerships or technology; or
- Strengthening and substantially scaling the impact of an evidence-based program.
Proposals are due by 5 p.m. CST on Aug. 15, 2018, and must be submitted through the Online Portal.
Send any questions you have about the RFP to grants@cftexas.org by July 9. We will host an in-person workshop to discuss this funding opportunity at CFT on July 12 where we will answer all questions that have been submitted.
By early October, a select number of first-round applicants will be invited to submit a full application. These applications will be due in mid-November, with final decisions about funding announced in early 2019. Foundation staff will inform all applicants about the status of their applications as decisions are made. Please follow CFT on Facebook and Twitter using #CFTImpact to stay up to date.
We will be using these platforms to share news about what we are learning, answers to questions about this funding cycle, updates on the timeline and other opportunities that may interest this community.
