Arthur Wells Helping Hands Center

Arthur Wells Helping Hands Center’s mission is to provide services and programs that are designed to empower, strengthen, and promote self-sufficiency among community residents.  The Center operates in the southern sector and serves an extremely under-served population with a majority of the residents living at or below the poverty level. Funding is requested to support providing low to no cost activities for children, teens, and adults in the Pleasant Grove area that will enhance their social, emotional, educational, and financial economic status. Programs include the Youth "Inspire" Programs designed to engage youth in participating in decisions affecting them, the Adult and Senior Programs which are designed to educate and guide all members on the necessary steps for financial stability/equity, and the Culinary Arts Program designed for both youth and adults. Currently, the Center serves 5,500 individuals with an anticipated increase to 7,300.
