Plano Civic Chorus


The mission of the Plano Civic Chorus is to enrich the North Texas community by performing great choral masterpieces and exceptional modern choral works. One board member has already been placed through CFT4B outreach!  PCC has five board members and would like to add two more to serve a one-year term.
 

“We’re seeking members to provide fresh perspectives and complement our existing capabilities. The role we have in mind is directiorial, rather than administrative. We meet monthly with occasional follow-ups in between. The ideal candidate is someone with a love of music, who can provide an independent view on the organization’s direction and who is willing to evangelize our choral mission with their local contacts.”

 

Prelude Clubhouse


Prelude Clubhouse provides free rehabilitation and recovery services to adults living with mental illness. Our program includes socialization, clerical/culinary skills training, and opportunities for each member to contribute their unique talents and abilities to develop increased independence and self-confidence. It's often a ramp for adults wishing to return to the paid workforce or school.
 

"We're seeking 2-4 diverse board members, preferably men; age 30-55; previous board experience; a network of contacts in the Collin County/North Dallas area; and skills such as IT, HR Management, Accounting, Financial, Advertising and PR, Fundraising, Grant Writing."

 

Rae’s Hope, Inc.


Rae’s Hope’s mission is to empower at risk girls to take charge of their lives and
become productive members of their community. We are committed to increasing the number of girls that stay in school and do well academically, live healthy lives, achieve competency in critical life and financial skills, and contribute to their communities. One new board member has recently been placed with Rae’s Hope through CFT4B.
 

“We are looking for five more board members with the following expertise: event planning, fundraising, networking, and marketing. Someone with an accounting background and someone who can help with community outreach.”

 

Shakespeare Dallas


Using Shakespeare’s works as a cornerstone, Shakespeare Dallas serves the Southwest region with fun and accessible indoor and outdoor theatre, integrated school programs, and cultural enrichment for people of all ages and backgrounds. Shakespeare Dallas offers North Texas residents a unique opportunity to experience Shakespeare in a casual park setting, as well as providing cultural and educational programs to audiences of all ages.
 

"Shakespeare Dallas is looking to make our Board more diverse, and have more representation of people with different ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ members, and more females. We are also looking for Board Members who are willing to help with our fundraising efforts. Board members are asked to give/get $1500."

Sharing Life Community Outreach


Sharing Life exists to demonstrate compassion by effectively and efficiently providing dignified, benevolent services to families in need in Southeastern Dallas, Rockwall, and Kaufman County.
 
Sharing Life is seeking a board candidate to shadow our current treasurer for one year until his term ends. Serving as a member at large until October 1, 2022, the candidate will learn from the current treasurer all duties and responsibilities. We are looking for increased diversity on our board so the perfect candidate would be a black female. CPA preferred, or strong financial skills and bookkeeping experience, someone especially familiar with fund accounting in a non-profit organization

Stand 4 Sisterhood


Stand 4 Sisterhood is committed to eliminating barriers and advocating for solutions that increase sustainable lifestyles for girls and women globally via mentoring and action-oriented initiatives. 
 

"We need of a diverse board that is passionate about making a difference and committed to the cause. Special skills we would welcome include grant-writing, fundraising, diversity, equity and inclusion expertise. I am seeking professional board members that are influential in their community and established in either corporate or entrepreneurial organizations."

The GEMS Camp


The GEMS (Girls interested in Engineering, Math and Science) Camp is a Dallas-based non-profit organization whose mission is to build confidence in underserved teen girls through Academics, Leadership, Service, Career, and Creativity so that they will be successful in STEM studies and careers. The program includes strengthening of math and science skills, targeted mentoring that is tailored to the underserved community's needs, delivering an engaging STEM experience with exposure to role models within DFW STEM industries, and building local and international communities of prepared girls so that the number and quality of girls pursuing STEM degrees will increase.
 

"We are enthusiastic about building a board that is of diverse background and experience level. The board will strive to constantly have seven board members that include a chairman, vice chairman, secretary, treasurer, and four additional directors with a variety of skills needed."

TLT: Tomorrow's Leaders Today, Inc


We are a leadership program that puts the focus on careers and real-life soft
skills. TLT- Tomorrow’s Leaders Today, Inc. takes each 8th grade-Junior College participant’s career path/goals in mind while developing leadership qualities and skills. Engagement with business, civic and community leaders, in the careers of the participant’s choice, in the session they are attending, is made more meaningful by bringing them all together. Class facilitator selection, mentors, retreats, internships and community service projects foster these relationships.
 

"We are seeking a cross-section of our community that has a passion for our organization and those we serve. We are looking to find six board members which would include a Vice President, Treasurer, and Assistant Secretary. The skills we are looking for include: Development/Sponsors/Grants/Marketing/Social Media."
