GiveWisely® Tools and Sessions

GiveWisely® was created to help you develop your own unique and meaningful approach to your charitable giving.

The goal of GiveWisely® is to empower individuals to discover their core values and help them think critically about how they give. GiveWisely® offers participants an opportunity to look deeper into what motivates them to give, so they leave the class with a clearer idea of what they want to support and how to best go about it. In the process, they learn how to say "yes" or "no" powerfully, depending on whether an opportunity is aligned with their giving focus.

Individual and family sessions are free to CFT fundholders, offered virtually and in-person, and can last from 45 minutes on up, depending upon your focus areas. Not a fundholder? CFT can customize a session for your family, group, or business to help bring more focus and effectiveness to your giving. Customized Session Topics Can Include:

• Identifying Your Values

  What are your core values? How do they show up in your giving — or do they? Discussing values, personal giving statements, and charitable budgets.

• Pinpointing Your Passions

  Use images and discussion to explore the areas of charitable giving that resonate with you.

• Evaluating Effectiveness

  Understanding community needs and assessing nonprofits to be able to choose which nonprofit is right for you. 

• Charitable Budgeting

  Considering the factors that define your giving budget, and learning how to pro-actively plan your giving and align it with your giving focus.

• Sharing Your Passions

  Considering the family, friends and nonprofits in your life who would benefit from a better understanding of what motivates you charitably.

• Beyond the Class: Maintaining Focus and Impact in Your Giving

  Creating a simple plan to move forward with what you've learned.
