SXSW Fund: Disaster Relief

SXSW is deeply saddened by the events that took place at the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013 and in West, Texas on April 17, 2013. Our hearts go out to everyone that was affected by these tragedies and we would like to show our support through the creation of this online giving site through the SXSW Community Fund.

The purpose of this site is to provide disaster relief to people most affected by the events that occurred in Boston and West last week. Donations made through this site will go to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief.

The SXSW Community Fund is SXSW's first-ever philanthropic fund and is administered by Communities Foundation of Texas. In addition to this online giving site, the SXSW Community Fund has been used for funding awards for honorees of the Dewey Winburne Community Service Award and the Grulke Prize for Career Act as well as making charitable contributions to nonprofit organizations nationwide.
