Celebrating Truman Greene’s Impact

Truman Greene retires from CFT after a 30+ year career in human resources

After a 30+ year career in human resources (HR), including four impactful years serving on CFT’s executive leadership team and overseeing HR, Truman GreeneChief Human Resource Officer (CHRO), has retired to pursue his community passions and spend more time with family.

Truman Greene joined CFT in 2022 as CFT’s first-ever CHRO, leading CFT’s growing HR department during a period of expansion across the organization, both in staff size and in employee benefits offered. He is highly regarded as a stabilizing and strategic leader, known for uplifting and championing employees at all stages in their careers.

“Organizations are shaped by many hands, but the character of an organization is often shaped by an extraordinary few. Over the past four years, Truman has been one of those extraordinary individuals who has helped define the character of CFT,” said Wayne White, CFT President and CEO.

“From our Board’s perspective, Truman brought steadiness and guidance in supporting CFT’s growing leadership,” said Connie Blass O’Neill, CFT’s Board Chair. “We credit Truman with implementing new systems that helped us better understand CFT’s needs as trustees and how we can steward the organization and its talented leaders.”

While we’ll miss Truman’s influence, we hope you’ll join us in celebrating the tremendous impact he’s had on our community and internally at CFT.

During his tenure, Truman:

  • Led the onboarding for CEO Wayne White in 2022, guiding the organization through a leadership transition
  • Led the onboarding for multiple executive leadership positions and promotions
  • Oversaw onboarding and role expansion for key hires across all departments, including CFT’s North Texas Giving Day and Educate Texas
  • Supported the Executive Leadership Team in launching CFT’s new housing initiative
  • Fostered a healthier, more vibrant culture through mentorship of leaders and managers

“CFT has always been a pillar of the community. Seeing how the organization has grown and matured internally gives me confidence that CFT will continue to be a great place to work and a great partner to our community,” said Truman. “I’ve seen how colleagues support one another, and our collaboration grows stronger every day.”

About Truman’s Career and Community Involvement

Truman has over 30 years of global human resources experience, particularly in the manufacturing industry. Over more than two decades, he built and led HR partnerships across industries, supporting functions like finance, research & development, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, delivery, and sales & marketing.

Truman began his career in General Electric’s distinguished human resources leadership program, where he served for over 10 years. He’s also held Chief Human Resource Officer and Vice President positions at Motorsport Aftermarket Group, Invensys LTD, RathGibson, Inc., and Lennox International.

He earned his Master of Business Administration from Pennsylvania State University after completing his undergraduate studies at Lock Haven University of Pennsylvania.

Even in retirement, Truman will remain an active member of his community. He was recently elected as the Board Vice Chair of local nonprofit Miles of Freedom (MOF). MOF provides holistic support and re-entry services for individuals and families affected by incarceration. Truman’s intellect, experience, and credibility will be especially valued as MOF works to expand its reach in the coming years.

In addition to spending more time with his growing family, Truman also plans to become more involved in service with his church. “With more time available, I look forward to finding new ways to contribute,” Truman shared.
