More than 94,000 people donate during 17th Annual North Texas Giving Day: $74.2 million raised for 3,500 nonprofits as of midnight

The 17th annual North Texas Giving Day sets new records as Communities Foundation of Texas uplifts the generosity of North Texans.

More than 94,000 North Texans gave $74.2 million to 3,500 local nonprofits, representing causes from education, health, and social services, to arts, the environment, and animal welfare. This year featured a record-breaking number of participating nonprofits in the program’s 17-year history. The total raised since North Texas Giving Day’s inception is now $710 million, cementing the community’s long-standing dedication to making a difference in support of thousands of nonprofits across the region.

“North Texans once again showed the extraordinary power of collective generosity,” said Wayne White, President and CEO of Communities Foundation of Texas. “The need in our community this year is great, with many nonprofits in our region having experienced unexpected funding changes. Thanks to individuals, families, and businesses giving back in record-breaking ways, North Texas Giving Day is helping meet that need.”

As the largest regional fundraising event in the nation, North Texas Giving Day empowers every person to give back to their community by supporting local nonprofits through donations. In 2024, more than 88,000 generous North Texans donated $70 million for 3,284 nonprofits.

“North Texas Giving Day is an inspiring reminder of what’s possible when a community comes together,” said Vickie Yakunin, Head of Community Affairs at Amazon. “Amazon is proud to stand alongside thousands of nonprofits and the generous individuals who made this a record-breaking year of impact.”

Communities Foundation of Texas, alongside sponsors like Amazon and generous givers, covers transaction and technology fees so that 100% of every tax-deductible donation made on NorthTexasGivingDay.org goes directly to local nonprofits.

The City of Dallas also demonstrated a shared commitment to local philanthropy by issuing a proclamation recognizing September 18, 2025, as NORTH TEXAS GIVING DAY. The proclamation reflects the collective dedication to inspiring giving and uplifting nonprofits across the region.

“For those who didn’t yet make a donation through North Texas Giving Day, there’s still time, as there’s no deadline on generosity. NorthTexasGivingDay.org remains open for giving and every dollar donated supports local organizations,” said Wayne White.

While North Texas Giving Day is CFT’s signature giving event, generosity certainly has no deadline. NorthTexasGivingDay.org serves as a year-round, one-stop shop for supporting causes that make North Texas a better place for all. Looking ahead, Communities Foundation of Texas plans to continue to utilize NorthTexasGivingDay.org to support local nonprofits through cause campaigns, matching fundraisers, group giving events for corporations, and nonprofit-led fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Next year’s North Texas Giving Day will be September 17, 2026.
