Arcilia Acosta is the CEO of CARCON Industries and Construction, a full-service construction firm she has led since 2000, and founder and CEO of STL Engineers, established in 2003. With more than three decades of experience, she is a nationally recognized entrepreneur, speaker, philanthropist, and corporate director.

With more than 15 years of public board experience, she currently serves on the Board of Directors for Vistra Corp. (NYSE: VST) and for Magnolia Oil & Gas (NYSE: MGY), and recently served on Veritex Holdings, Inc. (NYSE: VBTX).
Appointed by Texas Governor Greg Abbott in 2021, she is a Regent for the Texas Tech University System where she chairs the Facilities Committee and previously chaired the Audit Committee. She co-chaired the 2023 Texas Gubernatorial Inaugural Committee, served on the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board, and was a member of the Governor’s Strike Force to Open Texas.
Nationally, she was honored with the U.S. Presidential Volunteer Service Award in 2021. Acosta has been named one of the Top 100 US Latinas, Top Corporate Directors of Fortune 500 Companies for five consecutive years, and TOP 20 Directors in Energy. She and her companies have earned more than 45 national, regional, and local awards. In 2014, she was inducted into the National Women’s Business Hall of Fame and she has served as the commencement speaker for four major Texas universities.
