As CFT’s general counsel, Carolyn is responsible for ensuring legal compliance and providing strategic legal advice to support the mission, including support for Educate Texas, Kaleidoscope Park Foundation, and CFT’s other entities. This position oversees all legal matters, including governance, regulatory compliance, risk management and contractual agreements.

By working closely with the Board of directors and senior leadership, Carolyn helps navigate complex legal landscapes, safeguarding the Foundation’s interests and enabling us to serve our community effectively and ethically as we work to build thriving communities for all.

Additionally, Carolyn supports CFT’s fundraising efforts working with a portfolio of fundholders, overseeing gifts of complex assets, bequest administration, and legacy planning, and she leads strategy for cultivating relationships with professional advisors.

Before joining CFT in 2011, Carolyn worked at Dallas CASA as the development and finance director, as well as for Texas CASA and the University of Tulsa. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Oklahoma and a J.D. from the University of Tulsa.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP / BOARD SERVICE

Carolyn serves as a board member for Kaleidoscope Park Foundation, on the Board of Governors for the Dallas Estate Planning Council, and she is a former member of the Richardson ISD Foundation board. Carolyn is a Junior League of Dallas Sustainer and an active community volunteer.
