Joseph is with the Teaching and Leading team, focused on ensuring all classrooms and schools are led by excellent, diverse educators. As part of the Teaching and Leading team, Joseph leads a regional community of practice focused on supporting school districts and educator preparation programs with recruiting and developing a locally grown teacher workforce.

Prior to joining CFT, Joseph worked with the Edmund J. Safra Center’s Democratic Knowledge Project at Harvard University, helping public schools redesign social studies curriculum to address students’ social and emotional learning. He also taught U.S. history at the high school level.

Joseph holds a master’s in education from the Harvard University Graduate School of Education, where he was a member of the education policy and management cohort, and a bachelor’s in political science and government, history and secondary education from Southern Methodist University.
