Kristine Thomas

As the Senior Vice President of Finance, Kris is responsible for leading the financial planning and operations for both Communities Foundation of Texas and its signature initiatives, Educate Texas and North Texas Giving Day.

With over 25 years of tenure at CFT, Kris has had the privilege of playing a crucial role in the increased sophistication of the organization, which has grown from $450M to over $1.8B during her time on staff. Over the past 25 years, she has established a successful track record of excellence and has honed and grown her expertise in a number of different financial areas including audit, financial reporting, investments, treasury, financial analysis, and risk management.

Prior to joining CFT, Kris was with Paging Network Inc. for almost four years, serving as the external reporting accountant in which she was responsible for SEC reporting, debt compliance, and providing key metrics for the investor relation team.

Kris holds a bachelor’s of business administration in accounting from Stephen F. Austin State University and is a Certified Public Accountant (non-active).
