As chief programs and engagement officer of Educate Texas, Dr. Reo Pruiett leads a range of initiatives aimed at enhancing student outcomes across K-12 and higher education. This work centers on creating meaningful opportunities that support students’ academic growth and prepare them for lifelong success. By fostering innovative programs and partnerships, Dr. Pruiett not only advances educational achievement but also drives workforce development and talent management, helping to ensure students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive in a rapidly evolving workplace.

Dr. Pruiett joined CFT’s Educate Texas in 2008 and has since held roles of increasing responsibility, leading the statewide College and Career Readiness School Models (CCRSM) initiative and overseeing the Dallas Southern Sector district-wide portfolio.

Reo is committed to the success of all students across Texas and has committed countless hours to develop technical assistance to more than 575 campuses with innovative education models, including Early College High Schools (ECHS), PTECH/ICIA, and Texas-STEM.

Reo is an inclusive team builder and played an integral role in the creation of CFT’s community engagement framework. She was promoted to CFT’s executive leadership team in 2022 and has led CFT’s efforts to advance community engagement.

Externally, she is a prominent representative of the foundation, fostering positive and authentic relationships with nonprofit organizations and community stakeholders. She engages with civic and business leaders to elevate the community’s perception of CFT’s staff and contributions in alignment with our mission, vision, and values.

Before joining CFT, Reo worked in all levels of education from K-16. She’s been a teacher, mentor educator, science specialist, vice principal, principal, and district director. She has also supported strategic planning for school districts, community colleges, and four-year institutions.

Reo earned a Bachelor of Science from Lane College and a doctorate in curriculum, instruction, and leadership from Union University.
