As the deputy director of programs for the College Career Readiness (CCR) and Teaching & Leading teams at Educate Texas, Tanisia plays a pivotal part in supporting Texas Education Agency (TEA) high schools implementing the P-TECH/ECHS models, leading change initiatives, and driving organizational transformation efforts across her portfolios.
With nearly 20 years of experience in education, Tanisia has held various roles — from elementary and middle school teacher to assistant principal, principal and district administrator — in both traditional school districts and charter schools throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex. Her extensive background in educational leadership allows her to effectively support and guide initiatives aimed at improving student outcomes.
Tanisia holds a bachelor’s in sociology from Chicago State University and a master’s in educational leadership and policy studies from the University of Texas at Arlington. Additionally, she is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) with the Project Management Institute, reflecting her strong expertise in managing and executing complex educational initiatives.
