The mission of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is to cure Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis, and to improve the quality of life of children and adults affected by these diseases. The Foundation works to fulfill its mission by funding research; providing educational resources for patients and their families, medical professionals, and the public; and furnishing supportive services for people with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). The Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation is the largest voluntary nonprofit health organization dedicated to finding cures for IBD.

The board is seeking new members to serve three-year terms.
Key responsibilities:
- Participate in the annual board planning session to define chapter priorities aligned with the Strategic Plan and develop the Chapter Operational Plan.
- Attend and actively contribute to all board meetings and chapter-related planning discussions.
- Monitor chapter progress toward strategic goals and help drive implementation of mission activities. Ambassador, Connector, and Fundraiser
- Represent the chapter at community events and with stakeholders.
- Champion the Foundation’s education, support, and advocacy programs in the local community.
- Help connect the Foundation to individuals, corporations, and foundations that can further its fundraising and mission impact.
- Make a personal financial contribution to the Foundation, commensurate with individual ability.
- Lead by example in personal giving and fundraising and inspire other board members to actively support development efforts.
- Support fundraising events and campaigns by securing sponsorships, building donor relationships, and rallying community participation.

Board members must:
- Attend quarterly board meetings.
- Make an annual personal contribution. The Foundation has a give or get goal of $7,500.
- Have a deep belief in and alignment with the Foundation’s mission
- Be a respected and connected member of the local or professional community.
- Remain informed about the Foundation’s work and actively involved in advancing its programs and goals.
- Be willing to represent the Foundation to potential constituents, volunteers, donors, and external stakeholders.
