Kids University is a nonprofit organization providing out-of-school-time (OST) tutoring and summer enrichment programs directly on-site in low-to moderate-income apartment communities. The organization focuses on academic tutoring in math, language arts, and reading, while also prioritizing Social Emotional Learning (SEL) to build confidence, resilience, and self-esteem.
Their PATHWAYS curriculum, aligned with the Texas Essential Knowledge & Skills (TEKS), ensures students stay on track with what they are learning in school. Using a “whole child” approach, Kids University not only addresses academics but also supports families through adult education partnerships and strengthens communities by promoting safety and connection. By impacting the student, family, and community together, Kids University tackles the root causes that prevent children from completing their education, creating pathways to brighter futures.
