Metrocrest Services

  • Since 1971, Metrocrest Services has provided hope and relief to those who need a helping hand. Metrocrest offers a comprehensive bundle of services to address gaps in finances, employment, and nutrition to holistically help end poverty. Programs include basic needs (rent assistance and food), financial education, employment services (including education/training), and support services for seniors such as rides and meal delivery.

If you are interested to serve as a board member of Metrocrest, please contact Gabe Madison at gmadison@metrocrestservices.org.

  • Metrocrest Services’ board is focused on recruiting members whose expertise and interests align with the social determinants of health that are central to the organization’s work. These priority areas include healthcare—with a particular emphasis on addressing food insecurity—housing, education and training, workforce and economic mobility, and financial well-being.

At the same time, Metrocrest Services does not exclude individuals whose primary focus lies outside these areas. Instead, the organization works with all board members to identify how their skills, experiences, and perspectives can best support neighbors in need and strengthen the mission of Metrocrest Services.

    Additional Information:

Metrocrest Services believes that as the needs of our community evolve, so must the ways they meet them. Guided by their MyPath Framework, built on the research‑based EMPath Economic Mobility model, Metrocrest Services is reimagining how to support North Texans facing today’s toughest challenges.

This work requires new ideas, new partnerships, and a shift in how systems respond to poverty. They are seeking innovative leaders ready to help shape this future with them.

  • Board members are:

    • Encouraged to give a financial gift that is meaningful to them
    • Expected to attend 4 of the 6 board meetings every year. The board meets 6 times a year, every other month.
    • Required to participate on a committee. Most committees meet 4-6 times each year

Board service terms last two years. Directors may serve up to three consecutive terms of office.
