Vickery Trading Co. trains refugee women to sew at a professional level while caring for their holistic needs through English support, computer and financial classes, mental health services, case management, and job placement upon graduation. The nonprofit also operates a social enterprise that does sewing manufacturing for small businesses.

It is preferred that volunteers have nonprofit board experience and/or experience in finance, or business leadership. The board would also benefit from an attorney.
Board service terms last three years.

Board members must:
- “Give or get” $15,000 per year
- Attend at least 80% of board meetings held (there are 8-9 meetings per year) as well as major events like fundraisers and graduations (3 per year)
- Engage in committee work
- Engage in networking opportunities
- Attend a two day overnight board retreat
- VISIT THEIR SITE
