Wellspring provides hope and healing through affordable, professional counseling and community workshops. It began as an outreach of FUMC Plano in 2014 and incorporated as a 501c3 in 2021. Its counselors, staff and volunteers work with each other and clients in ways that provide high quality mental health care in a culturally competent manner. Wellspring’s vision is a Texas in which mental health services are affordable and accessible to all. They recently incorporated another program into our offerings, Journey of Hope grief support for children and teens and their families.

Wellspring Counseling Center is looking for three new board members to begin terms in the summer or fall of 2025. Volunteers with familiarity working for nonprofits or talents in marketing and communications are appreciated.
Wellspring’s team is flexible and can work with volunteers’ schedules and availability. Board members can expect to:
- Attend board meetings held bimonthly
- Support Wellspring financially in an amount meaningful to them
- Support Wellspring’s annual major fundraiser in March (at least 5-10 volunteer hours per week may be required in January through March)
