Yogi Squad seeks committed, mission-aligned leaders to serve on its Board of Directors, with preferred experience in fundraising, nonprofit governance, education, community partnerships, or financial management. Ideal board members bring strong communication skills, a collaborative spirit, and a passion for promoting equity, wellness, and mindfulness for children and families in Fort Worth.
Responsibilities include providing strategic direction, offering financial oversight, supporting program growth—particularly in our School Squad programs, summer enrichment camps, family events, and the upcoming Mindful Mobile initiative—and helping expand partnerships with schools, Title I campuses, local organizations, and community groups.
Board members are also asked to leverage their networks to generate new funding and partnership opportunities, contribute to grant and sponsorship development, and make an annual financial gift that is personally meaningful. By fulfilling these responsibilities, board members play an essential role in strengthening Yogi Squad’s mission to equip youth with stress-management tools, increase access to mindfulness and movement programs, and deepen our impact across Tarrant County’s underserved neighborhoods.
