About Freedom Day

While Sept. 11 often is characterized by the memories of tragedy in America, CFT4B uses it as a day to honor veterans and make a difference in the community. For 17 years, CFT4B has hosted Freedom Day to bring North Texas businesses, veteran groups and nonprofit organizations together to complete service projects that benefit the community. With more than 1,100 volunteers this year, these projects help unite the community in one of the largest service days in Texas.

“It’s been the greatest gift,” said Nancy. “I feel like what granddad gave us was an opportunity – an opportunity to make a difference and to explore within ourselves something he had already figured out: lifting up the people around you is what matters most. He knew that the fund could bring good to others but also to us as we practiced generosity together.”
