Jain Family First Responder Scholarship
The Jain Family First Responder Scholarship provides up to $10,000 scholarships to high school seniors, current college students or past graduates from a high school in North Texas. Applicants must be the child or stepchild (from a current relationship) of an active, full-time first responder, defined as police, firefighter, EMT/paramedic, or 911 dispatcher. Applicants may also be the child of a deceased first responder. Graduate-level degrees or certifications are ineligible. There are no limitations on field of study.
Deadline: May 1, 2026 -
- Applicants must be in good standing as a student and have at least a cumulative high school or college GPA of 2.7 on a 4.0 scale. Applicants who graduated from high school more than three years ago and do not have records of transcripts may submit a copy of a graduation certificate or GED.
- Applicants must be graduating seniors or past graduates of a high school in North Texas (Collin, Cooke, Dallas Denton, Ellis, Erath, Fannin, Grayson, Hood, Hunt, Johnson, Kaufman, Montague, Navarro, Palo Pinto, Parker, Rockwall, Somervell, Tarrant, Wise).
- Applicants must be United States citizens or documented permanent residents of the United States.
- Applicants must be the child or stepchild (from a current relationship) of an active, full-time first responder, defined as police, firefighter, EMT/paramedic, or 911 dispatcher. Applicants may also be the child of a deceased first responder.

Consistent academic achievement, demonstrated leadership potential, community engagement, essay response, extracurriculars, proof of parent’s first responder status by submitting parent’s ID card or letter from parent’s employer.

No immediate relatives of the Committee are eligible.
