Please read the scholarship descriptions carefully to understand the criteria. No documentation will be accepted outside of the application portal or after the scholarship deadline that is listed below.

Press Club of Dallas Foundation Scholarship Fund



The Press Club of Dallas Foundation Scholarships are one-year awards of up to a total of $5,000. Multiple recipients may be selected.

Roy and Mae Smith Scholarship Fund



The Roy and Mae Smith Scholarship provides a one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 total to a graduate of Charleston High School in Charleston, Arkansas pursuing a college degree, community college degree, or trade school certification. Scholarship monies may be used for tuition, fees and books and will be paid directly to the awardee’s school. Ideal candidates are those who demonstrate average achievement, hard work, self-sufficiency, and financial need.

Subhasish Bhowmik Memorial Scholarship



The Subhasish Bhowmik Memorial Scholarship awards scholarships to graduating high school seniors from Emmett J. Conrad High School or Hillcrest High School who are interested in pursuing a college degree, community college degree, or trade school certification.

Sylvan Landau Founders Scholarship



The Sylvan Landau Founders Scholarship, of the Father of the Year Scholarship Fund, is awarded to a graduating high school senior in financial need who has achieved an average degree of academic excellence. This one-year award provides $5,000 for tuition, fees and books at any accredited college or university in the state of Texas, including but not limited to four-year universities and community colleges. The scholarship will be awarded to a student who intends to major in business or marketing.

Texas DPS



The Texas DPS Scholarship awards scholarships to current or retired employees of the Texas Department of Public safety or immediate family members of current, retired or deceased employees of Texas DPS. Scholarships may be used at any accredited college or university in the United States or its possessions.
 

May 15, 2020 -

The Elizabeth Abrams Memorial Scholarship



The Elizabeth Abrams Memorial Scholarship is given to honor the spirit, strength and contribution of Elizabeth “Lizzie” Abrams. It is a one-year, $3,000 scholarship for graduating seniors of Plano East, Plano West, Plano Sr. High School or John Paul II High School that were members of the school swim team their senior year. The Harris-Lee Ranch Scholarship



The Harris-Lee Ranch Scholarship provides a one-year, $5,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior at Throckmorton High School in Throckmorton, Texas who intends to pursue a degree at any accredited 2-year or 4-year college, university or eligible trade/vocational school in the United States or its possessions. Selection criteria includes scholastic achievement, school and community participation, demonstrated leadership potential, and financial need.

Applicants are required to provide a short essay and a recommendation from a teacher or school counselor, which can be requested through the general application.

Award: One award of up to $5,000

The Horticultural Printers Scholarship Fund



The Horticultural Printers Scholarship Fund in Memory of Harold & Beky Vanberg awards scholarships to children and/or dependents of employees of Orora Visual, formerly IntegraColor. This one-year scholarship of up to $5,000 per year (up to $2,500 per semester for two semesters) may be used at any accredited college or university in the United States.

Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Selection is based on academic achievement, SAT or ACT scores, school and civic activities and financial need.

Award: One award of up to $5,000
 

March 01, 2020 -

The James 1:5 Scholarship Fund



Scholarship awarded once every four years to graduating senior from Rockwall, Rockwall Heath or Royce City High Schools who intends to pursue a degree in nursing, engineering, math, computer science, technology or business at the University of Texas at Austin. Must have 3.0 GPA or higher and be accepted to the University of Texas at Austin. Selection is based on demonstrated leadership potential, relevant work experience, average financial need and average academic excellence. This is a four year scholarship.

Award: Up to $40,000 total per student
