Supporting our community during a time of increased need

Our community is experiencing a rise in food insecurity, with many North Texas families seeking food aid for the first time, or in need of increased support.

At the same time, many nonprofits who provide hunger relief and food pantries have also experienced unexpected funding changes this year. Ensuring consistent access to nutritious food for local individuals and families is foundational to our ability to support our community’s health, wealth, living, and learning.

In response to this community need, Communities Foundation of Texas has issued $880,000 in grant funding to the local nonprofits featured in the list below who are working tirelessly to meet growing food needs. We encourage you to consider a donation to local nonprofits providing direct services to people in your community who need it most – whether that be with your dollars or your volunteer time.

CFT fundholders: You can make a grant to any of these organizations through your fundholder portal or by reaching out to your CFT contact.
