Support for South Central Texas Flood Relief

Over the past three days, South Central Texas has received over 30 inches of rain, causing widespread flooding and leaving two people dead.

Rescuers have saved more than 200 people via boat and helicopter. As of July 17, the waters have begun to recede, and families and communities can now focus on recovery and rebuilding.

Below is a list of vetted organizations providing assistance in the South Central Texas region:

Community Foundations and Relief Funds:

  • Community Foundation of the Texas Hill Country has established the Texas Hill Country Relief Fund to support immediate relief and long-term recovery for communities affected by the July 2026 flooding. Grants from the Fund will support nonprofit and civic organizations actively involved in response, relief, and recovery efforts.
  • Greater Good Charities: Mobilizing aid to provide emergency assistance and support to families and pets impacted by the recent floods.
  • Rebuild Texas Fund: Accepting donations to support response and recovery efforts in communities impacted by flooding.

Nonprofit Organizations:

  • Catholic Charities of Central Texas: Offering emergency financial assistance and basic needs material assistance for those impacted by the Central Texas floods.
  • Mercy Chefs: Responding immediately with hot, chef-prepared meals to help displaced families, emergency crews, and volunteers.
  • World Central Kitchen: Serving meals to first responders and families.

Mental Health Services:

Animal and Pet Support:

  • San Antonio Animal Care Services: Seeking people to temporarily foster or adopt shelter dogs following a surge of pets arriving from weather-related calls.
  • Austin Pets Alive: Seeking people to adopt or foster pets for a minimum of three weeks. The nonprofit is allowing people to name their own price for adoption fees.

Donations are tax-deductible and will directly support relief efforts. We will continue to add resources here as we learn of them.
