Celebrating National Community Foundation Week 2025
CFT is celebrating Community Foundation Week, recognized nationally November 12 - 18. Community Foundation Week uplifts the important work of the 900+ community foundations throughout America and their collaborative and innovative approach to working with the public, private, and nonprofit sector to address community needs.
CFT Supports Launch of GreenLight Fund in Dallas
The strong philanthropic community in Dallas has made it possible for GreenLight Fund, a national nonprofit funder, to expand to the region, bringing an innovative approach to tackling some of the city’s most critical unmet needs tied to racial, social and economic inequities.
Supporting our community during a time of increased need
Our community is experiencing a rise in food insecurity, with many North Texas families seeking food aid for the first time, or in need of increased support. In response, Communities Foundation of Texas has issued $880,000 in grant funding to the local nonprofits featured in the following blog who are working tirelessly to meet growing food needs.
