Ten households have been approved for housing, four have applications pending, two have not yet started their application, four rented independently but still need housing assistance, and two households did not live at the immediate impacted location, however, they lived nearby and have urgent housing needs. Current funding commitments guarantee 19 housing units for six months.

Nonprofit Organizations Providing Support:
- Austin Street Center, in partnership with the City of Dallas and Communities Foundation of Texas as the lead funder, alongside The Dallas Foundation, Muse Family Foundation, and other partners, has launched a coordinated effort to support 19 families displaced by the May 28 Oak Cliff apartment explosion. Through this recovery effort, Austin Street Center will cover at least 6 months of rent, transportation support, and critical resources to help these families move from crisis to stability. - Catholic Charities -Dallas is providing long-term case management.
- Cliff Temple is raising funds in partnership with St. Vincent de Paul to purchase “House in a Box” furnishings so that families can have furnished housing in their new locations.
- Mission Oak Cliff: Mission Oak Cliff is coordinating physical donations for affected families and is currently accepting gift cards (Visa, Amazon, restaurant, and grocery store), Gatorade, cleaning supplies, paper towels, toilet paper, and men’s pants in sizes 28–34; other clothing and shoes are not needed at this time, and additional donation information is available here.
- Red Cross North Texas Region: The Red Cross is providing immediate support, including temporary housing and meals.
