Trustee Nicole G. Small brings a unique background in nonprofit and foundation leadership and business experience to CFT. She serves as the CEO of LH Capital, Inc. and Lyda Hill Philanthropies, where she oversees all aspects of investments and philanthropic endeavors. LH Capital, Inc. and Lyda Hill Philanthropies are related entities which use their resources to fund game-changing advances in science and nature, empower nonprofits and improve the local communities of greatest importance to the organizations' founder, Miss Lyda Hill.

Nicole is well-known for her leadership and passion for STEM education, previously serving as CEO of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. 

Her STEM-focused experience dovetails perfectly with CFT's education funding and related programs to strengthen the preparation of more students for success in life.

As CEO of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science from 2002-2014, Nicole directed all aspects of day-to-day operations and the development of the new downtown facility that has garnered international attention. 

Nicole holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania and an MBA from Northwestern’s Kellogg School of Management. She has worked at McKinsey & Co., Goldman Sachs and multiple technology and venture capital firms. 

Nicole and her husband, Justin, live in Dallas and have two daughters.

Nicole is a member of the Dallas Assembly, YPO, International Women’s Forum, Charter 100 and the UT Southwestern president's advisory council. She also sits on the board of the Perot Museum, the Hockaday School and A.H. Belo Corporation.
